vacation time // beach please
By the time this has posted, we'll be on our way to our little home away home, G's family's caravan in Dorset. We're staying for a week, which we never usually have time for, and I'm so excited to get some real time away from routine, not to mention any real phone signal or internet. I love being practically forced to read through books and books and bike everywhere and walk along the beach with no distractions, especially social media, so forgive me for the radio silence.
It's been a month since my accident, which is insane as I feel like it was last week but I'm glad it's getting further and further away from my present. I struggled with not being able to go full throttle with work, as I'm sure most #onegirlband's feel when they have to take time away from their business. I also really struggled with the fact that I survived. It was a hefty blow and could've been a lot worse, but I'm so grateful it wasn't. I've been practising mindfulness a lot since, and noting down what I'm grateful for in life and trying not to take anything for granted. I guess a stare at death can do that to a person.
On a positive note, When I'm back from holiday, I hope to be 100% recovered (I'm about 85% at the moment) and ready to get back to my small business coaching clients (get in touch if you want a 1-2-1 session on all things social media, time management, creative direction etc!) as well as normal scheduling. I'm getting a bit fed up with having to take naps constantly (believe it or not!) so I'm looking forward to being back to normal.
Have a great week, and remember to get that holiday booked if you haven't yet! You deserve a little break.
