the One Girl Band podcast

I host The One Girl Band podcast which is for female entrepreneurs and creatives who work for and by themselves. They're meant as little pep talks to help empower and support you on your self-employed journey.

Every month, I show up in your inbox with real, human insights into being a One Girl Band and the lessons I learn along the way.

I don’t think I could have got this far in my small business without Lola and her coaching sessions. I have managed to achieve so much more than I thought possible in the time spent with her and it’s wonderful to look back and see how far things have come. I think Lola has been a brilliant coach and someone to talk to who is super honest and can always relate to what you’re going through. It’s been a brilliant journey!

It’s so great to get perspective on the way you are working within a business. Simply talking to a like-minded person gives you that. Never mind the great things she suggests. As simple as, take a regular lunch break. It’s nice having someone enforce that on you with an understanding of burnout- it’s not a push push push go go go approach, it won’t push you over the edge. However, you will have a great wee cheerleader every step of the way.

I am naturally a very anxious person worrying about the small things, as many of us do I’m sure. However with the help of Lola and the structure she offered my outlook has changed. I have learned that you cannot control everything that happens around us, you can only deal and cope with the way in which you react to those situations. Thus, in turn, having a positive influence on both my personal life and career
